1. What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at Compadre?
Getting hands on experience doing things that are actually going to make an impact on the company. I wasn’t just doing busy work and felt like a valued member of the team. I also loved how much communication there was between all levels of the company. There is a constant stream of feedback, which pushed me to do my best work.
2. What was your favorite project that you worked on, and how did you contribute?
My favorite project was the internship project because I got to work with a lot of people I otherwise might not have even met. As the project manager, I got to work on my leadership and communication skills.
3. What was the most important or helpful thing you learned during your internship?
I learned about the importance of communication and being open to feedback. It also learned that appreciating the culture of a company and the people you are surrounded by is crucial to job satisfaction.
4. If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?
Time management is very important. Do not neglect other responsibilities such as school because it will catch up to you, running the risk of neglecting work later. Do as much as you can within your means, and be realistic. Communication is key! Try to make relationships because those are going to last past the end date of your internship.

Assistant Creative Video Editing Intern
1. What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at Compadre?
I enjoyed getting to connect with so many talented creatives! Everyone at Compadre was very welcoming and really wants to see you thrive. I was really able to get close with my supervisor, and I feel like I learned a lot from those conversations.
2. What was your favorite project that you worked on, and how did you contribute?
I really felt like I got to develop my skills the most working on a series of TV Spots for FOX BET Nascar. I was able to be involved in every step of the process, from building initial rough cuts, to responding to client notes, to preparing spots for delivery! It was really rewarding seeing how my edits developed over the course of the project, and I learned a ton.
3. What was the most important or helpful thing you learned during your internship?
Learn how to respond to notes! A lot of times, you’ll find yourself putting your all into your work, only to have to change a ton of it when it comes back from the client (Especially in editorial!), but you’ve gotta learn to take it in stride. Going through a million rounds of revisions can suck, especially when the client’s demands don’t seem to make a ton of sense, but learning to see what the client is really looking for and delivering it is a huge skill.
4. If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?
Don’t be afraid to take on some responsibility! If there’s something you want to try, or you see a way to help lighten someone’s load, absolutely go for it! People always appreciate someone who can jump in and help them tackle a problem, and oftentimes you’ll learn a lot along the way.

1. What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at Compadre?
Doing multiple styles of projects that I could corporate different skills during my internship, including illustration, graphic, and motion designs.
2. What was your favorite project that you worked on, and how did you contribute?
I like many of the instagram posts, such as Women's History Month, St. Patrick’s Day, and New Talent. Every time I got my assignment, I would try to find some inspiration and propose to Felipe before I designed, and then Felipe was very nice to look over them and give me some advice and ideas when I was making.
3. What was the most important or helpful thing you learned during your internship?
Not to settle with the first design I made. Try as many designs as possible before next steps because it’s not my personal project.
4. If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?
Come to the office when you are interns! There are more talents you could meet and learn from in the office, some of whom you might not get a chance to work with remotely.
