ESPN – Call of Duty Black Ops 6: The Replacer Production Partner & Promo Spots
JOINED FORCES
For the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Activision and 72andSunny revived a fan-favorite campaign to excite and captivate audiences. In this series, Peter Stormare stars as The Replacer, a jack-of-no-trades specialist who offers his services to ‘replace’ someone at their job while they’re off playing Black Ops.
To showcase the Replacer’s versatility, the Black Ops 6 marketing team partnered with ESPN and Compadre to produce a variety of spots on-set at ESPN Studios, featuring ESPN talent Scott Van Pelt and Elle Duncan.
His sports knowledge may be debatable, but his enthusiasm is unmatched!

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
The first Call of Duty 6 promo, featuring Scott Van Pelt, aired during ESPN’s Monday Night Football, reaching one of the largest sports audiences on TV. This prime placement blended the excitement of football with Call of Duty's energy, engaging both sports fans and gamers, and creating major buzz for the game’s release.
(SPORTS)CENTER STAGE
We also produced a humorous spot featuring SportsCenter's Elle Duncan and Peter Stormare as The Replacer, set on the iconic SportsCenter stage.
PIG SKIN ANYONE?
In our third spot, SportsCenter's Scott Van Pelt and Peter Stormare share a funny moment where Peter confuses "pigskin" with actual pork rinds. The playful mix of sports humor and Call of Duty's quirky style made this spot both engaging and memorable for fans of both worlds.
