Ever heard of a reality TV show that’s not actually a reality TV show? Meet The Joe Schmo Show, a comeback kid from the early 2000s on TBS that's making its triumphant return in 2024. TBS asked us to whip up the official key art, and we gladly jumped into the wacky world of Joe Schmo.
Drafting The Look
For our key art, we dove into the archives of classic shows like the Brady Bunch, aiming to bring a touch of vintage charm to the chaos. Our goal was to craft scenes with the entire cast, placing Joe Schmo smack dab in the middle—unbeknownst to him, of course.
For our final product, these concepts were presented to showcase how the taglines work, encapsulate the show and highlight our unknowing star.
A Star Is Born
After brainstorming acrobatics, we landed on a simple yet genius concept: a snapshot of our clueless hero, Joe Schmo, blissfully grinning under a spotlight. It's the perfect visual metaphor for the fact that he's about to become the unwitting star of the show, blissfully ignorant of the absurdity that awaits him.
