RYAN CORR

Assistant Creative Video Editing Intern

1. What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at Compadre?
I most enjoyed working on set doing behind the scenes videos and meeting so many incredible, creative individuals.

2. What was your favorite project that you worked on, and how did you contribute?
My favorite project was Disney Plus as I had a blast shooting BTS and enjoyed being so involved in the entire process from start to finish.

3. What was the most important or helpful thing you learned during your internship?
The most important thing I learned was the value of communication and asking questions. I saw how every department was related and leaned on the others. Team work makes the dream work as they say. Everyone was very helpful.

4. If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?
Advice: don’t be afraid to ask questions. Be yourself and take nothing personally.

5. If you had to capture your internship experience in a single GIF, what would it be?

1. What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at Compadre?
My favorite part of working here at Compadre has been meeting and learning from such amazing talented people who are always willing to answer any questions or even just chat!

2. What was your favorite project that you worked on, and how did you contribute?
I really enjoyed working on DirecTV Guidebanners! They were honestly like little puzzles that I had to figure out how to put together.

3. What was the most important or helpful thing you learned during your internship?
The most helpful thing that I learned has been what it takes to be a part of a team, which includes good communication and the willingness to give and receive feedback.

4. If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?
It’s easy to just put your head down and focus on just the work in front of you, but take the time to talk to people and make connections because everyone at Compadre wants you to have fun and to learn new things!

1. What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at Compadre?
I really enjoy working with the amazing creative team! Learning from everyone and working on different projects has developed my skills in multi-task solving!

2. What was your favorite project that you worked on, and how did you contribute?
The project that I worked on revising Compadre's new social banners design is the first project that I worked on at here, and it's also my favorite one. This project taught me how to work professionally, find solutions in the details and, most importantly, experience the  Compadre culture. (i love all the projects I did in Compadre, but this one feels special to me.) : )

3. What was the most important or helpful thing you learned during your internship?
The most important thing I learned is communicating and collaborating with teams. Everyone working together and helping each other accomplish each task is a valuable experience for me.

4. If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?
Ask questions! It is valuable that you can learn so much from those talented people!

5. If you had to capture your internship experience in a single GIF, what would it be?

ALANCES VARGAS

3D & Animation Intern

1. What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at Compadre?
It’s hard to say what I enjoyed most but there were some incredible highlights. Just to name a few: Jammin’ out to old school rap and hip hop towards the end of the day, walking to get coffee at “the red one,” and obviously, making some pretty cool stuff.

2. What was your favorite project that you worked on, and how did you contribute?
My favorite project by far was helping to build the 3D version of the Sunday Night Football logo.  Not only was this a fantastic learning experience for me but also demonstrated to myself what I was capable of. I had the pleasure of seeing this project through to the end, from the creative exploration, to building components of the 3D modeling, refining the geometry, and combing through to find the perfect render settings.

3. What was the most important or helpful thing you learned during your internship?
The biggest lesson I gathered from this internship is learning the pace of play. Things move incredibly quickly and it's always important to hit the ground running on whatever project you’re working on. If you don’t you’ll get left behind.

4. If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?
It can’t be understated enough how important it is to put yourself out there. Show the work you're doing, try new ideas, and get feedback even if you end up being redirected. It’s better to dive head first into a project than to wait for someone to drag you along. You’ll be astonished by how much you grow.

KEATON KIM

Marketing Intern

1. What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at Compadre?
Definitely the people! I know everyone talks about this, but Compadre has such a fun, welcoming work environment.

2. What was your favorite project that you worked on, and how did you contribute?
Working on copy on the agency side has been really fun. From social media posts to Newsletter titles… I feel so much more confident about my writing skills coming out of this internship.

3. What was the most important or helpful thing you learned during your internship?
The importance of agency voice and image. It’s something I didn’t think that much about before this internship, but Compadre has shown me just how integral voice and image are in positioning yourself in this industry.

4. If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?

Talk to people! Talk to as many of your coworkers as you can! Everyone here has so much to offer, not just from a work standpoint but from a life standpoint as well. Working at a smaller agency gives you the opportunity to get to know people across a variety of departments, so take advantage of that!

JULIA STEINMAN

Biz Dev Intern

1. What did you enjoy most about your internship experience at Compadre?
I enjoyed building relationships with my co-workers and learning the ins and outs of the media industry.

2. What was your favorite project that you worked on, and how did you contribute?
My favorite project was working on travel planning for New York and Comic-Con. I learned the strategy behind planning business trips and client networking. I really enjoy planning trips, so it was fun for me to be able to research client work and plan out a trip that would be both fun and successful. I helped create travel books and decks that laid out the trip itinerary and delve into events that were going on in the area.

3. What was the most important or helpful thing you learned during your internship?
The most important thing I learned during my internship is to not be afraid to ask questions or to ask for help. Everyone on the Compadre team has your back and is there to support you and help you succeed.

4. If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?
Get to know everyone at Compadre, not just those on your immediate team! Everyone is kind, fun, and welcoming, and you may find you enjoy other types of work.
