A CONVERSATION ON RACIAL JUSTICE

Inspired by the current Black Lives Matter movement across the U.S. and the 57-year anniversary of The March on Washington, we partnered with Facebook to build a logo, identity, and marketing campaign for Change Together — a monumental live streaming event hosted by Queen Latifah.

The event, featuring appearances by special guests, was a call for racial justice in America and a discussion to identify actionable solutions moving forward.

A STRONG MARK FOR CHANGE

The event’s logo draws inspiration from modern, handwritten protest posters, as well as imagery from the 1963 march — while remaining cognizant that it must convey a discussion, not a physical march. The mark balances strong type with hand-drawn elements to elicit a sense of openness and humanity.

MOVING FORWARD AS ONE

The campaign is rooted in the idea of moving forward together toward a collective goal. To further bring this concept to life, we incorporated a rousing excerpt from Fred Shuttlesworth’s speech on togetherness at the 1963 March on Washington. Compadre wrote, produced, designed, animated, and edited both the Awareness and Launch spots for Change Together.
