There’s A New Sport In Town

Power Slap has joined the UFC family and is ready to make its Las Vegas debut. What started as a social media frenzy during the pandemic has turned into a new combat sport with a strong fanbase and millions of views already garnered online. We stepped into the ring to create an epic show open for UFC to formally introduce Power Slap to America.

The Buildup

Our show open needed to be intense and gripping from the start. This new sport is nothing like we’ve ever seen before, and we needed that feeling to come through from the moment the arena lit up. We captured moments like players prepping their hands with talcum powder to close-ups on the eyes of the contenders preparing to get blasted in the face by their opponent, as well as what follows: a fast slap followed by a slow motion face turn while loose cheek skin ripples under the impact. These moments let us know what we’re about to watch is not for the faint of heart.

The Big Day

With our direction for the show open, we went straight to Las Vegas to film on the actual Power Slap stage. And before you ask, yes, we did capture awesome content that you can see in our BTS video!
